Blog Writing Motivation

Starting out a blog full of energy and excitement is easy; however maintaining the same throughout the blog becomes difficult at times. Eventually most of the bloggers lose interest in blogging and this takes away the excitement of blogging. This is the state where the blogger looses the interest in writing, there is nothing else to say to the audience and the whole blogging scenario in general looks stale.

Some new bloggers get so bugged while creating new content constantly that at times they lose the track of conversations they are supposed to have with the readers. In case you get stuck when it comes to generating new ideas, try asking your readers what they would like to see next or what more information they would like to have. Good Blogging Practices

Sometimes blogging is done professionally and at times it is a personal endeavor. Having said that, there are some guidelines that you must consider for establishing a successful blog. The thumb rule of blogging is originality. There is no point in rewriting or reframing the points or ideas present in the other blogs. It’s perfectly alright if you refer some for ideas or blogs, however giving them your touch is important. People out there are not interested in reading the same things in different words; they are looking for something new, something they are not aware of. Your thoughts as an individual are different from others so make sure you feature them as well.

Also, when it comes to blogging, it is not always necessary to play safe. You can be completely transparent when it comes to blogging. It is true that controversy is negative in a way however being controversial only means that you have the power of going against the flow and being original. Having the guts to future the truth and being who you are and portraying your thoughts can provide with uniqueness to you blog.

If you would like to start blogging as a full fledged business, then the first most important aspect would be considering a good Webhosting platform that will support the blog. The hosting platform must be capable of supporting the blog irrespective of the amount of incoming website traffic. What you can do is, start the blogging website, feature impressive content on it and when it tarts doing well, promote the affiliate links through it. This is one of the best ways of earning money online.

Finally, make sure to interact; not just with your readers but with the other bloggers as well. There is nothing wrong with being friends with the other bloggers, they are not your competitors; just like you they are out there to portray their views. Be a part of the conversations happening elsewhere. This might provide your blog with a good exposure and it will also keep you in loop of what people are talking about.

Along with ensuring the aspects mentioned above, it is also important to generate traffic for your blog. This is as important as writing the blog itself. You might have created a blog masterpiece, but if there is no one reading it, it’s really of no use. Once the blog is published, bookmark it in various social bookmarking websites and also share it in the social networking websites in order to get the right traffic for it.

Keep in mind that blogging is not just a sprint, it is a marathon. You have think big, be consistent and keep improvising on the blog. The most important aspect of blogging is – Be Yourself! Also embrace your creativity and make the blog stand apart. If there is something different, something unique about your blog there is no way it won’t get a good response.

Don’t Blog on Your Blog?

Seems oxymoronic doesn’t it? What the author of this article is really saying is that if you want to attract and keep users visiting your blog, you have to write meaningful and unique content. If all you are doing on your blog is posting information that you got somewhere else, then your visitors would just be better off going to your source instead of having to go to your site first.
What matters is that the user experience is that of immersion in comprehensive treatment of a topic, as opposed to a blog-style linear sequence of short, frequent postings commenting on the hot topic of the day.
I am not sure that I totally agree with this. Personally, when I find a blog that acts as a sort of mini-portal I find myself perusing it for any information that is pertinent to my current situation (whatever that may be). For instance, as a PHP developer (my other life), I appreciate phpDeveloper.org. The vast majority of posts that hit my RSS feed reader are all little snippets about information going on in the industry and other posts that are relevent to the topic. I love getting this information, and I regularly browse to their site for more information. I believe that this has several benefits to your blog. First, I think that people willf find it interesting and useful to have a site that does all the legwork of finding the noteworthy information and aggregating it for them. Also, the exposure to these ‘blogmasters’ to which you are creating all the trackbacks has value. These guys are interested in the same subject matter, and they might also find value in using your blog as a portal to more info to which they are not yet privy. Maybe then they will add you to their blogroll. That’s the ticket to traffic, no doubt. Having a successful blog is more than just writing all unique content. It’s about creating content and an experience that users appreciate. Give them something they like, and they’ll be back. That doesn’t mean you have to write an ‘article’ every time you post (or ever).

New Live Blog Broadcast from Andy Beal

The Marketing Pilgrim himself has started broadcasting live so that people watching can chat live and participate. He touches on the Google brand, monetizing blogs, and even the free market.
“Give good content, don’t worry about making money.”
One of the most interesting things he had to say was regarding when to start monetizing your blog. He essentially believes that you can start advertising on your blog from day one if you like. It’s totally up to the user.
“Everybody has the opportunity to make money from their blog”
I’m not sure that I totally agree. I know that if you want to make money from your blog that you should be focused on turning it into something that will do just that. If that means writing interesting posts (which it does), then that’s what you should do. If you aren’t interested in making any money from your blog, then it doesn’t really matter what you write about. If people don’t want to read it, so what? You don’t need them to, right?
